Dear James on,
The Hong Kong Case of Piracy.
I enclose a copy of the Case submitted to the
Law Officers, to complete your papers. I am not sure
now that you have a copy of the Memorandum by the third
legal adviser to the Foreign Office, but I am under the
impression that the Foreign Office has in fact printed the
Case with its annexures, and the Opinion, and you may be
able to obtain either prints of the Foreign Office
Memorandum or indeed of the whole of the papers,
if you
ask Duncan to drop either Beckett or Fitzmaurice a line.
The Foreign Office number is F.6687/308/10. I have no
spare copies of the Foreign Office Memorandum, and it is of
such a length that I prefer to ask you to obtain any
further copies of it from the Foreign Office, rather than
have further copies prepared here.
F.R.W. James on, Esq., D.S.O., M.C.,
Colonial Office,
Downing Street,
S.W.1.
MCC/EMC
Yours sincerely
